About

Susan B. Anthony was born in Adams, Massachusetts, a small town in northern Berkshire County. The museum provides a history and timeline of Anthony's life. She was born in 1820 and grew to become a staunch advocate for women's rights.

Anthony did not live to see the 19th Amendment, passing away 13 years before it was passed. In 2020, the museum will be celebrating the centennial of women's suffrage with a number of events that celebrate the life of the woman who spent her life fighting for equal rights.
